Banana Baker

I do not like bananas green
Just the thought is quite obscene
Unripe bananas are hard to take
When they give a stomachache.

Yellow bananas are worth the wait
The peel reveals a welcome fate
Perfect mellow bites of cream
Taste like a tropic island dream.

But a top banana must be brown
This is the truth that I've found
When you peel, mash, mix and bake
Brown bananas take the cake!
